Mom's roses got a good hard pruning this year and it sure made a difference! Rose after rose after rose; they are dressing up her back yard with wild abandon! All the rain we got this spring probably helped too. It's truly a joy to walk from the alley to her back door and be greeted by such joyous splendor.
Ok ok, these aren't roses but aren't they amazing? Up close they almost look like hydrangea.
These are Queen Elizabeth. Mom bought this rose in my honor (my middle name is Elizabeth) when I was little. They were my favorite :-).
