Fishing Trip

Recently we took some residents to a trout farm in Renton for a fun fishing trip. This place supplies everything; poles, bait, buckets, nets, and ponds full of trout. It was a beautiful setting, and since we went on a weekday, very quiet. The only other group there was a crowd of preschoolers; they were fishing at the pond shown above. The staff was so helpful! They brought all the supplies down and were full of enthusiasm. The only difficulty was carefully getting six of the residents down to the pond safely in their wheelchairs. The path was dirt and gravel and on a bit of an incline.

Watching the proceedings.

Everyone caught a fish!

The staff even cleaned the fish and got them ready for a photo op.

When we got back the kitchen fried up the fish and they all got to enjoy the taste of fresh trout. A very good time was had by all.
